Project Stand Up For Your Mind covers mental health topics in a lighter, more humorous key than has been done before in Estonia.
This project participates in the first Tartu 2024 culture and education programme development process, as a part of "Tartu with Humanity" programme line. Projects that successfully complete the process will advance to the official European Capital of Culture programme.

Mental health concerns are as normal as physical health concerns, but talking about them and admitting one's weaknesses is still considered a taboo topic. Project Stand Up For Your Mind deals with mental health worries and joys, looking for help and coping and the medium, through which it is done, is improv- and stand-up comedy.

The planned project consists of three main events, which all are connected to smaller events. The planned events are among others: an international TEDx conference, improv comedy and stand-up shows, where professionals from Estonia and abroad will perform and a mental health themed film festival.
