According to Tartu 2024 CEO Kuldar Leis, it is important to make sustainable transport choices in order to organise environmentally friendly events. “The first official partner of the European Capital of Culture is significant in every way. One of our biggest goals is to implement a programme that is as environmentally friendly as possible. Transport and logistics are indisputably key to achieving this. As of today, our producers will travel thousands of kilometres using only Citroën electric models, thanks to our official car partner Topauto.”

Enn Poola, the manager of Topauto Tartu, said that the company has supported sports and culture for a long time, and therefore it is only natural for Topauto to start cooperating with the team of Tartu 2024, one of the most important cultural events in Estonia.

“As car dealers, we see that people’s interest in environmentally friendly mobility is growing. There is a growing interest in both electric vehicles and cars with hybrid engines, and therefore we have one of the best selections of environmentally friendly cars in Estonia. The green thinking of Tartu 2024 is close to our hearts,” said Poola.

Topauto and the Citroën brand are official partners of Tartu 2024 from May 2022 to March 2025. As part of the cooperation, the European Capital of Culture will use a 100% electric Citroën ë-SpaceTourer bus to organise cultural events, as well as three other electric vehicles.

This year, Tartu 2024 will organise more than 50 events in Tartu and Southern Estonia. For larger events, Topauto will provide additional electric vehicles for receiving and transporting guests.

Topauto has been operating in the Estonian car market since 1994 and sells Hyundai, SEAT, CUPRA, Suzuki, Isuzu, Citroën and SsangYong vehicles. The company regularly supports culture and sports.
