Tartu 2024 Opens This Year's Car-free Avenue With Gala Concert Dedicated to Freedom

Classical opera and operetta performances will be presented to the public during the opening event of the Car-Free Avenue dedicated to freedom. The Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre opera choir from Ukraine visits joins the grand Tartu City Day gala concert.

ETV will broadcast the concert live. Come by yourself, or bring a friend or family member. Everyone can attend the Freedom Gala Concert for free.

In a few months, Tartu and Southern Estonia will share the title of European Capital of Culture. The Arts of Survival is Tartu 2024's artistic concept. The gala concert serves as a primer on the Arts of Survival, or the knowledge and skills that will help us live better in the future.
